Our principles of pre-engineering

Productizing cleanroom technology

7 principles for a unique cleanroom approach

Off-site preparation and production, on-site assembling

The concept of pre-engineering cleanrooms is closely related to standardization. Standardization means that there is a shift in production. Both our cleanrooms and individual sub-systems are prepared or even prefabricated in conditioned production halls, which signifies a reduction in transportation costs and minimizes disruption at the construction site.

R&D in function of creating product families rather than unique constructions

Designing and developing product families allows us to launch predictable, duplicatable and high-quality cleanrooms. New cleanroom introductions within the same product family are always the result of continuous developments from previous successes, and are never a one-off, unique development.

Bottom-up developed cleanrooms: we offer, you choose

The result of bottom-up developments, is that high-quality cleanrooms can be constructed as a unique combination of standardised systems and components. Continuous development is all about variation, selection and reproduction. Pre-engineering allows us to offer the variations, so you can easily choose.

Fixed relationships and structures between the different elements

Our pre-engineering principle states that we can easily configure different cleanroom elements and variables without affecting the DNA. This is possible because the relationships between our components are standardised and variation in output (design or specifications) does not affect the integrity of the cleanroom.

Cleanrooms as flexible and demountable system

In a concept of standardization and pre-engineering, the relations between various components of a cleanroom are fixed. This means that upgrades can be made quickly, flexibly and without much inconvenience to remain compliant with changing regulations or conditions in the production facility. It even allows us to dismantle the cleanroom for reuse.

Risk reduction due to standardization

By working exclusively with our standardised building blocks, we can introduce families of cleanroom products and concepts to the market instead of one-off constructions. The risks regarding the procurement, production, assembly and failure of our cleanrooms are therefore much reduced and even virtually eliminated.

Sustainable design for maintainability and life time extension

By pre-engineering cleanroom technology, we prioritise Design for Maintainability and Lifetime Extension. Cleanrooms must continuously adapt to changing conditions during their lifetime (fit for purpose). By taking this into account at design stage, we can facilitate this in the most sustainable way possible.

1. Off-site production, on-site assembling

Legolisation means standardisation. Standardisation causes a shift in production. Work is carried out in conditioned spaces such as factory halls. our cleanrooms are manufactured partly or entirely off-site, which means huge savings on transport costs and reduction of inconvenience on-site
